Among the unique assets that Randolph and its residents enjoy, our view of the northern Presidentials must surely rank high. For many of us, the siting and configuration of our cottages and homes has been effected to put our particular outlook to best advantage. But some time back, when Pat and Laurie Archambault came by for a visit on our porch, Pat remarked that he’d never before seen the view from where we sat. During our recent seasons of quarantine and isolation, as we slowly welcomed friends and neighbors back to our porch, we found a similar observation expressed; our view differed from theirs, and it was a treat to see the difference. At our winter residence in Key West it’s often said that one can’t tell from the street what treasures lie behind the gates of our houses. The Garden Tours of Key West, and Arts & Eats events were born from this realization, and provided some of the inspiration for the idea of Porches of Randolph.
