Guest Information & FAQs

Guest Information

Porches of Randolph is a community-powered social fundraiser for three Randolph organizations: The Randolph Foundation, The Randolph Mountain Club, and the Randolph Library. Hosts are voluntarily opening their homes and generously donating refreshments and do not receive any compensation from your donations. In addition to the below please be respectful of any individual house rules.

Alcohol and Refreshments

In addition to their time and opening their homes, hosts have also generously donated refreshments. Some hosts may not drink alcoholic beverages and/or may not be comfortable with them in their homes. This will be indicated on the listing. It is acceptable to bring a bottle of wine, beer, or a small gift for the host. You may also BYOB -  bring your favorite beverage for you to partake unless it says you can't in the listing.

Parking and Accessibility

Please respect your host's parking rules including not parking on lawns unless it is indicated as acceptable to do so in your email confirmation. Remember that some homes may not be handicap accessible ie, have ramps. This will be indicated on the listing. Some homes may have long walks, steep driveways, or uneven surfaces. If so, we have asked hosts to indicate this in their description.

Friends & Guests

You may bring a friend/guest however it should be done via the ticketing system. Please do not put your host in an awkward situation by contacting them directly about bringing a guest or by bringing them with - even if you know the host well. Hosts have provided us with a maximum number of guests they feel comfortable with and we would like to respect that. We expect high demand for tickets so admission will be limited to 2 per ticket.

Photos

Most hosts would welcome you taking photos of their view. Don't forget to tag us on Instagram and join our Facebook group. If you want to take photos of the house or inside looking in from a window - just ask the host first.

Interior and Bathrooms

This is not a house tour. While you are welcome to ask questions about the history and architecture of the home, please respect that some hosts may not provide a tour, or allow inside access. Restroom provisions will be at the determination of the host.

Donations

Guests should bring their cash or check donations with them to their Porch Party or make a donation online.

Limits & Waitlist

Based on initial feedback, we expect high demand to attend  Porch Parties.  Hosts have let us know the maximum number of guests they feel comfortable hosting. To allow as many different folks a chance we are also limiting guests to 2 people per sign up - meaning when you sign up you can put your name  down and a plus one. If you have additional family or friends that would like to attend they should signup on their own.If the Porch Party you want is full, you'll be asked if you want to be put on the waitlist. If there's a cancellation you'll automatically be emailed to see if you're still interested (but you'll need to respond within 24 hours). If you signup for more than Porch Party and we have folks on waitlists, we hope you understand why we may contact you to pick just one.
